Ronaldo advises young players listen to criticism improve.
The Portuguese striker returned to Old Trafford last summer and has scored 14 goals in all competitions. Lead the club’s goalscoring right now.
Speaking to Premier League Productions, Ronaldo believes the youngsters of this era should take more advice from experience players in the squad.
“Adult players Older people can always help you. But I can give an example. If I gave you advice But you didn’t follow or instill it into your daily life. It is difficult to develop.”
“You can talk to them all day. But if they don’t understand you it was impossible I remember when I was 18, 19, 20 some senior players gave me advice. And I said to myself, ‘Cristiano, you know you have to improve. They know more than you and have more experience than you.’ They’ve been through a lot of bad times.”
“But there are some young players who can’t listen to your criticism. I’m not talking about our players but overall I have kids, I know, sometimes when you’re in a difficult situation. They are opposites. So you’ll have to find a way to balance this and talk to them.”
